Our first steps

The Mammendorfer Institut was established in 1982. Michael N. Rosenheimer took over the company in the year 1988 as the sole shareholder. He significantly expanded it and built it up. The company’s headquarters have always been in the Bavarian town of Mammendorf, west of Munich. Our commercial focus is on our products. But our overall focus is on humans. True to our motto “HOMINUM SALUTI MEDICINAM EXERCENS”. For the benefit of mankind, in the service of medicine.

Our History

1982

Foundation

The company is founded in Mammendorf to serve the medical field in the Munich area.

1984

First Steps

MIPM performs repair and maintenance work for different medical companies. In addition, MIPM gains expertise in contract development projects for well-known partner companies.

1989

MRI compatible patient monitor

MIPM acts as a service partner for renowned companies. During this period, MIPM introduces MRI-compatible monitoring to the German market.

1996

Specialization

MIPM specializes in the development and production of MRI-compatible anesthesia devices.

1997

MIPM as market leader

The company becomes a global market leader with the first MRI-compatible syringe pump system, the MRI-Caddy, which will remain without competitor for the next 10 years.

1998

First generation MRI monitors

MIPM's first generation of MRI-compatible monitoring devices is introduced: The Tesla^Junior pulse oximeter and the Tesla^Plus Multiparameter Monitor.

2004

Second generation MRI monitors

The second generation of MRI monitors is introduced. The first Tesla^OxySat MRI pulse oximeters and Tesla^Guard multiparameter monitors are sold in Europe and Asia as well as in North and South America.

2006

Second generation infusion solutions

The Tesla^4-Fusion enters the market as the second generation of MRI-compatible infusion solutions.

2007

World innovation

Tesla^NIBP - MIPM developed the world's first free-standing, non-invasive blood pressure monitor for the MRI environment.

2010

Third Generation MRI Monitors

The Tesla^ONE MRI-compatible pulse oximeter is launched, thus introduing the third generation of monitors.

2011

TESLA^M3

The Tesla^M3 MRI-compatible monitoring system is launched.

2015

TESLA^DUO to be completed, TESLA^M3 approved in USA

The Tesla^DUO is launched and replaces the Tesla^ONE. The Tesla^M3 is approved in the USA.

2016

Export price

MIPM wins the Exportpreis Bayern.

2017

Company anniversary and approval Canada

35 anniversary of MIPM

2018

Approval Brazil

Since March 2018 the Tesla^M3 and the Tesla^DUO can be sold in Brazil.

2019

Approval China

Since July 2019 the Tesla^DUO can be sold in China.

Change of baton at the MIPM-Family

October 2019: Long-time Managing Director Hand Schwaiger retires. New managing director will be company successor Jennifer Rosenheimer.

Approval China

Since March 2020 the Tesla^M3 can also be sold in China.

Approval South Korea

Since December 2020 the Tesla^M3 can also be sold in South Korea.

TOF^3D

The neuromuscular monitor TOF^3D is launched.

Approval Argentina

Since March 2021 the TOF^3D can also be sold in Argentina.

Since April 2021 the TOF^3D can also be sold in Australia.

The leadership Team

Michael N. Rosenheimer

President

Michael N. Rosenheimer took over the company (founded in 1982) in the year 1988 as the sole shareholder. He significantly expanded it and built it up. The trained communications mechanic and radio electronics technician graduated with a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Munich. He grew up in Mammendorf and is also called the “Father of the MIPM-Family”. He leads MIPM GmbH with heart and mind, knows all his employees personally, and takes the time - even in peak-load periods - to greet everyone personally and exchange a few words with them. He is particularly proud of the second of his three daughters: Jennifer Rosenheimer will follow in her father’s footsteps as the CEO of MIPM GmbH and lead the company into a successful future.

Jennifer Rosenheimer

Managing Director

Jennifer Rosenheimer holds a Master’s degree in industrial engineering. The daughter of company founder Michael N. Rosenheimer has known MIPM GmbH since her first day of life and became an official member of the MIPM-Family in 2002. Before she started her university education, she - like father like daughter - learned the ropes in an “ordinary” job as an industrial electrician. The MIPM-Family eagerly waits to see what new paths the young Managing Director will take.

Andreas Klement

Managing Director, Head of Product Development

Andreas Klement joined the company in 1997 and is one of our most experienced employees. Thanks to his many years of experience in Service & Support, which he headed until 2010, he has extensive knowledge of our products and the medical technology industry. During this time, he traveled worldwide to train dealers and customers in the application and technology of our systems.
In 2010, he moved to product development and has been independently managing this area since 2019. He is responsible for implementing new product ideas, supporting international approvals, and ensuring that technical expertise and innovative strength go hand in hand.
On January 1, 2026, Andreas Klement was appointed to the management board of MIPM GmbH.

Gunnar Bida

Vice President, Head of Marketing & Sales

Gunnar Bida has been heading the marketing and sales of our medical technology products since 2004. He holds a Master’s of Business Administration (B2B Marketing & Technical Sales) from the University of San Diego and knows that nothing can beat personal contacts, which is why he travels to existing and potential customers around the world. Our extremely high export share of 80 percent proves that Gunnar Bida has truly mastered the art of marketing and sales.

Frank Detscher

Vice President, Quality Management

Frank Detscher joined MIPM in 1997. He has experience in production, service, development and the approval of medical devices worldwide. He was the Head of Development from 2002 to 2010. This included the creation of technical documentation for development, production and international approvals. In 2010, he switched to Product Management, implementing development projects for our large customers and the international approvals of our own products. Since 2016, his focus has been on quality management and since October 2019, he has been the company's quality management system representative. This means that there are many audits (e.g., international authorities, customers) he will have to master together with the entire MIPM-Family.
