MIPM prepares for a possible blackout

Who could have imagined having to worry about a blackout years ago? As an international company, MIPM has prepared itself for a blackout. After more than three months of anxious waiting, the long-awaited emergency power generator has finally been delivered. Managing Director Michael N. Rosenheimer is relieved: ‘Even though the likelihood of a blackout has decreased again in recent weeks, this scenario has cost me sleepless nights. It's unimaginable if the power supply fails completely. We would have to send our people home.’
MIPM had already started its emergency checklist when the district administration office invited people to the business information meeting in January. The exchange of information once again confirmed the urgency. It is important for MIPM to be prepared for emergencies in order to guarantee ongoing operations. MIPM is now prepared. The genset is dimensioned in such a way that it can supply both parts of the building completely. ‘Now we are self-sufficient!’ says the responsible Facility Manager Alexander Rosenheimer with relief. Especially for sensitive areas such as the locking system or IT, it is now guaranteed that they will function in an emergency. MIPM has also planned further measures to prepare its employees in the MIPM family for an emergency. Both at work and at home. ‘We also take our MIPM Family by the hand in extreme situations,’ says Juni.
