YES to training with future prospects

MIPM (Mammendorfer Institut für Physik und Medizin GmbH) has been training apprentices for over 20 years and a new profession has been added.

How could a start to an apprenticeship be better than with a game? At MIPM, the three new apprentices got to know the MIPM family through a scavenger hunt. This way, they had to actively engage to find the different departments and contact persons.

"All the apprentices are from the local area and will hopefully stay with us long after their apprenticeship," said Patricia Arnold. For example, Claudia Wilfling started her apprenticeship 23 years ago and is now the assistant to the senior manager.

The three started together on September 1st: Jennifer Zimmermann as an office management clerk, Luca Hanisch as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk, and Samuel Schlomann as an IT specialist for application development. The focus on application development was newly added to the apprenticeship portfolio to meet the extensive legal EU regulations.

"Apprenticeship provides an important foundation for the future and offers many opportunities for further education," said Jennifer Rosenheimer, managing director, who herself trained as an industrial electronics technician at MIPM and completed her master's degree in industrial engineering through further education. MIPM supports its employees with various further training opportunities long after their apprenticeship.

Each apprentice has been assigned a mentor to accompany them throughout their apprenticeship. The mentors completed their apprenticeship at MIPM and were hired after their training.
