Digital future with MIPM’s TRAINEES

Off to a digital future is the motto at MIPM Mammendorfer Institute for Physics and Medicine GmbH (MIPM).

The digitization team (consisting of three apprentices and two supervisors) has now completed their project. Recently, the digital closing event for the digitization project, which was carried out in close cooperation with the IHK Munich and the RKW Competence Center, took place.

"We set ourselves the goal of digitizing the very paper-heavy order processing," explains Lukas Westermair, who is training to become a wholesale and foreign trade clerk. Together, the apprentices took on the planning and implementation of a digital document management system over the past six months, as well as the establishment of such a system with an IT company from the nearby area. The project created many advantages for the company, such as environmental protection, time savings, document security, and last but not least, a very good foundation for further digitization projects.

"The best part of the project was that we had the opportunity to implement our own project independently," says project manager Johanna Sanktjohanser proudly, who is currently pursuing a dual degree in electrical engineering. The apprentices not only expanded their knowledge in the field of digitization but also experienced firsthand what project management means. Hannes Gebhart, who is training to become an IT specialist, enjoyed working on a cross-departmental project the most. All three apprentices agree that they would participate in such a digitization project again.

The completion of a new project at MIPM always means the beginning of new projects, with the digitization of the product lifecycle already in the starting blocks. This is by no means the only idea for the future, as ideas for further digitization projects are already being collected for further planning. MIPM looks to the digital future with great confidence.
