The bell of success is being rung at MIPM – even without Brexit

While the politicians of the United Kingdom are still divided over the exact course of Brexit and many European companies remain in uncertainty, MIPM GmbH has decided to carry out Brexit on its own terms – with or without the UK. At least as far as the previously English certification is concerned.

It hung over the Mammendorf Institute for Physics and Medicine (MIPM) like a sword of Damocles: the loss of the Notified Body, which is responsible for the approval of all products produced by MIPM. The long-standing partner is based in the United Kingdom and will lose its European approval with the upcoming Brexit. Although MIPM had wisely set the course for a switch to TÜV SÜD more than 15 months ago, the urgently needed transfer audit could only now take place. A huge weight was lifted off the shoulders of the young managing director, Jennifer Rosenheimer, when the transfer audit by TÜV SÜD was passed without any deviations: "The countless overtime hours have fully paid off. Now the sleepless nights are over," said Rosenheimer, proud of her audit team and the entire MIPM family (see photo). If the switch had not worked, MIPM would no longer have been able to deliver from 2020 onwards. A real catastrophe for the medium-sized company. The UK's exit can now come, as the certificates are hanging in new frames on the wall!
